Owned and operated by Richard Green, his team of mechanics are genuine car enthusiasts with extensive automotive experience ensuring that you get the best car service and repairs advice.

Meet the motley crew!

Owner

Richard Green

Richard has been working in the Automotive Industry for over 35 years. He started his apprenticeship in mechanics with John Colthart Automotive at the age of 16 and was employed there for 6 years.

Richard then went on to work for Davey Mechanics where he was employed for 7 years.

All Pro Automotive was Richard’s next venture where he worked for 4 years until he decided to take the Risk and open his own business – Richard Green Automotive which has been a successful business for the past 18 years.

Mechanic

John

John has worked for 66 years as a Motor Mechanic and it was he who put a young Richard Green on has an Apprentice Mechanic in 1989.

John started working as an Apprentice Mechanic in 1958 in Scotland repairing a variety of cars including Jaguars and Aston Martins. When he moved to Australia, in 1965,
John extended his luxury car experience to VW’s and Mercedes Bends.

Fast forward to 2007, and the apprentice becomes the master 😉 - Richard brought John onto the RGA team and is the resident luxury car guru.

Car Detailer

Iain

Iain kicked off his 64 years of experience as an Apprentice Motor Mechanic. After 17 years at Advanx Motors, Iain moved into the windscreen game for the next 22 years.
Iain worked for Noble Holden for a number of years at West Gosford doing pre-delivery and detailing on their new cars.
He then moved on to Davey Mechanics where he worked with Richard doing car detailing and general mechanical repairs.
Iain is now employed by Richard Green Automotive as a car detailer and ‘Mr Fix It’.

Radiator Specialist

Paul

In 1978 Paul started his apprenticeship at Gosford Radiator Repairs and The Entrance Radiators.
In 1987 Paul started working for Natrad Auto Cooling Centre in Gosford until Richard Green bought the Radiator business and now Paul works for Richard Green Automotive as a Radiator and Air Conditioning Specialist and Apprentice Motor Mechanic.

Mechanic

Tom

Tom began his motor mechanic apprenticeship with Richard Green Automotive in 2016. He completed his qualifications in 2020 and is now a fully qualified Motor Mechanic and is studying to be a Radiator and air-conditioning specialist.
